Dialect Coach
When done well, a character's dialect or accent can transport your audience deep within the world of a story. From the Cockney and English dialects of "My Fair Lady" to the rich melting pot of Northeastern vocals like Yiddish in "Brighton Beach Memoirs" or Boston in "Good People". Dialect coaching allows actors to surpass just "sounding" right and fully envelope the essence of a character's story.
General American
General American is a dialect of American English that is considered to be relatively accent-neutral and lacking in regional markers; its pronunciation and vocabulary based on the speech of the Midwestern and Western regions of the United States. It is often used as a standard for broadcasting and journalism.
RP (General English)
Received Pronunciation, often abbreviated as RP, is a prestigious British English accent that is traditionally associated with higher class speakers from southern England, particularly from London. It is noted by its lack of regional markers and use of non-rhotic speech; where the letter "r" is not pronounced after a vowel sound.
Scottish & Irish
In the northern portion of the U.K lies a wealth of sounds that create the Scottish dialects. A tight pursed dialect stimming from the coastal city of Aberdeen and the rich and robust voice of Edinburgh all reside within the borders of the Scotts.
And just to the west sits the isle of Ireland; holding a plethora of vocals ranging from the beautiful lilts of Belfast to the rhythmic scoring of county Cork in the south.
American Southern
